
Pirates Return To Links At The Wolfpack Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina men's golf team will participate in its third event of the fall this week, traveling to Raleigh for the Wolfpack Intercollegiate. The two-day tournament is hosted by the NC State University at the par-71, 7,368-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course. Play begins Monday at 8:30 a.m. ET.
ECU and host NC State are joined in the field by Augusta, Campbell, Davidson, George Mason, George Washington, Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Rhode Island, Temple, UNCG, USC Upstate, Winthrop and Wofford.
Redshirt junior Jackson Spires, junior Tim Conover, senior Jack Sides along with freshmen Blake Taylor and Patrick Stephenson make up the Pirates' five-man team this week. Freshman Logan Shuping will compete as an individual. ECU has four top-20 individual finishes this season, led by two from Conover. The Pirates are coming off a third-place finish at the Janney Invitational in Richmond two weeks ago.
East Carolina finished third at this event in 2014. Conover is the current member of the roster to previously compete in the tournament, finishing tied for 31st at 8-over-par as a freshman.
