Abria Trice Signs Second Pro Contract In Luxembourg

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Former East Carolina women's basketball all-conference talent Abria Trice has signed her second professional playing contract with BBC Residence Walferdange in Luxembourg for the 2016-17 season.
Trice spent last season with BBC Sparta Bertrange in Luxembourg after signing with the team in January of 2016. She was the league's leading scorer at 25.4 points per game on 50.7 percent shooting, while averaging 10.7 rebounds and 2.6 steals across nine contests. Trice recorded four 30-point games and seven performances of at least 22 points, including a season-high 33 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists in her debut. She also had a 30-point, 18-rebound effort later in the season, while leading the team to the WUBA Finals after finishing the regular season in second place.
Selected with the eighth pick in the first round of the 2015 Women's Universal Basketball Association (WUBA) Draft by the GIE Matrix, Trice averaged 10 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 blocks and 2.5 steals in just two starts before heading to Luxembourg.
Trice was a 2014 All-Conference USA Second Team selection after scoring 15.2 points and averaging 4.8 rebounds while leading the team in steals with 51 in her first season with the Pirates. As a senior in 2015, the Hampton, Ga., native compiled 9.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest while helping ECU reach the second round of the WNIT.
Recently, former standout Jada Payne also signed a professional contract with A.S. Ramat Hasharon Electra in Israel.
