January 27, 2017 | General
GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina University Pirate Club, in partnership with SIDEARM Sports, has unveiled a redesign of its official website ecupirateclub.com.
Â
The completely redesigned website offers Pirate Club members a clean layout in an effort to enhance the user's experience through easier navigation. A fully-responsive design, the screen automatically adjusts to the user's choice of viewing the website on a desktop, tablet or smartphone.
Â
"The redesign of ecupirateclub.com was focused on the overall experience of our loyal and passionate donors by enhancing the functionality and appearance through an innovative design and user-friendly layout," ECU Senior Associate Athletics Director and Pirate Club Executive Director J. Batt said. "The redesign offers easier access to digital media content to help tell the story of over 430 Pirate student-athletes through the integration of Twitter, Facebook and YouTube."
Â
Upon arrival, the user will notice the utilization of a large, high-quality story image. Located across the bottom of the image, users can toggle between news stories, calendar of events, social media accounts, videos powered by YouTube and photo galleries.
Â
The website content is organized in a way that connects and informs the donor while telling their own Pirate Club story through their chapter involvement, experience, impact and legacy.
Â
Both ecupirateclub.com and ecupirates.com have partnered with SIDEARM Sports, offering Pirate Nation continuity in the look and brand of ECU Athletics.
Â
"We are excited to enter into this partnership with SIDEARM Sports," Batt stated. "With over 900 clients, SIDEARM Sports has established its place in the industry as an innovative leader. The shared partnership between the Pirate Club, ECU Athletics and SIDEARM Sports will serve Pirate Nation."
