Pirates Tied For 11th At Sea Best Invitational

Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. --- East Carolina shot two rounds of 14-over 294 and finished the first day of the Sea Best Invitational tied for 11th-place at 28-over 588 Monday at TPC at Sawgrass. Second-ranked Florida leads the field at 8-under 552, followed by No. 13 North Carolina at 7-under.
Freshman Patrick Stephenson paced ECU with a 6-over 146 followed by Jackson Spires and Jack Sides at 148 with Tim Conover and Blake Taylor rounding out the lineup at 149.
Ryan Orr of Florida leads the individual field at 7-under 133 followed by a pair of Gator teammates at 4-under.
Final round play begins Tuesday morning. The Pirates will tee-off alongside Campbell and SMU at 9:12 a.m.
