Edmond, Okla. - The East Carolina men's golf team shot a final-round 303 and finished with a 54-hole score of 913 to place 14th at The Maxwell, played at the par-70, 7,102-yard Oak Tree Golf and Country Club.

Second-ranked Oklahoma State won with a total of 9-over-par 849. No. 13 Oklahoma and New Mexico tied for second-place at 15-over-par 855. Third-ranked Baylor took fourth at 30-over-par 870 with UCLA and Liberty tying for fifth at 31-over-par 871.

Tim Conover was ECU's top finisher, tying for 33^rd with a 54-hole total of 221 (73-73-75). Freshman Logan Shuping was seven strokes behind his teammate with a final tally of 228 (77-76-75). Junior Jackson Spires and freshman Blake Taylor each fired a 233 and freshman Patrick Stephenson carded a 239.

UCLA's Hidetoshi Yoshihara edged Viktor Hovland of Oklahoma State by one stroke to claim medalist honors, shooting a three round total of 1-under-par 209.

East Carolina will return to the links April 23-25 at the American Athletic Conference Championship in North Palm Harbor, Fla.
