
Cross Country Finishes Well At adidas Challenge

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU men's and women's cross country teams trekked over to Cary Friday evening for the adidas XC Challenge. The placed fourth against a tough field while the women ended up in sixth.

On the men's side, senior Bakri Abushouk was the top finisher for the Pirates for the second-straight meet as he took 13th place with a 6K time of 18:33. Junior Nick Ciaccia also finished in the top 25, taking 22nd place with a time of 18:44.

For the women, senior Sarah Hamon ended up in 25th place, crossing the finish line in the 5K at 18:01. Junior Grace Sullivan was not far behind, placing 29th with a time of 18:07.
