LYNCHBURG, Va. – With one last chance to tune up before the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, the ECU track and field program turned in seven event victories at the Liberty Elite Invitational Saturday at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
Â
The Pirates set four meet records and two facility records. Additionally, senior Galissia Cause set the school record in the shot put and remains unbeaten in the event this season while junior Ryan Davis' weight throw mark is the third longest in school history.
Â
"Overall it was not a bad weekend," Director of Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Curt Kraft said. "Anytime you're setting school records and winning events you have to be happy. We have two weeks off to get healed up and rested before our conference championships. Hopefully the weather cooperates with us so that we can get some great practices in over the next two weeks. Both teams have a lot of enthusiasm and are very confident about where we are at this point in the season."
