Nash Records Seventh Place Finish At Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – East Carolina junior Nicole Nash posted her sixth career Top 10 finish Tuesday claiming a share of seventh place at the Golfweek Fall Challenge. The three-day, 54-hole event was being played at the par-71, 6,075-yard Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.

Nash finished the event with a 1-under (212) after shooting rounds of 67, 71 and 74. Her opening of 67 (4-under) was a career-best at East Carolina. Senior Danielle Modder claimed a share of 35th place after posting a 219 (6-over), while sophomore Lisa Forss shot a 9-over par (222) finished tied for 50th. Rounding out the Pirates roster were junior Ella Stalvey claimed a share of 50th with a score of 222 (9-over) and graduate student Marta Perez finished tied for 59th after a score of 224 (11-over).

East Carolina finished ninth in the team scoring following a 20-ver 872, just four shots out of fifth place. Charlotte won the event after posting a 7-under 845 followed by High Point (856), UNCW (858), Coastal Carolina (860) and Arkansas State (868).

The Pirates will return to action on Monday, Sept. 29 when they participate in the Tot Hill Farms Invitational in Asheboro, N.C.
