One of the newest facilities within East Carolina's ever-growing on-campus athletic footprint is the Multipurpose Turf Field, which formally opened its gates on October 1, 2019.

While initially designed for predominant use by the Pirates' lacrosse and soccer programs to offer a vital and conducive off-season workout option away from Johnson Stadium, the venue features a 68,000 square-foot Prestige XT Synthetic (i.e. FieldTurf) playing surface that allows functionality for many other ECU teams to utilize throughout the year.

Situated along Charles Boulevard and adjacent to the Cliff Moore Practice Complex, the Multipurpose Turf Field is easily accessible by car (Minges Lot) and on foot via a short walk from the Williams-Harvey Teams Sports Building, Ward Sports Medicine Building and the nationally-certified strength & conditioning amenities inside the Murphy Center.
