Amanda Johnson was the leader of the women's track & field program from 1993-97. Her leadership and determination earned her Team MVP honors each season from 1995-97. As a sophomore she qualified for the NCAA Championships where she placed 15th in the long jump. After achieving All-CAA and All-ECAC status as a junior, she led the 4x100 relay team to a Penn Relay, CAA and ECAC championship as a senior. She also earned All-ECAC honors in the indoor and outdoor long jump that season. During her four-year career she led the Pirates to four consecutive second-place finishes at the CAA Championships competing as a sprinter and long jumper. She continues to hold the school record in the indoor long jump and is a member of two relay team records.
