ECU Athletics Hall of Fame
Ike Riddick
- Induction:
- 1979
- Class:
- 1960
Ike Riddick played basketball for the East Carolina Pirates from 1957-60. It took two years for Riddick to really get his foot in the door, but when he did, he did it better than anyone else.
In the 1959-60 season, Riddick was named all-conference; the honor was well deserved after the list of records he set in that season.
During the 1959-60 season, Riddick set records for the most field goals in a game (15), most free throws in a game (15), most single game points (38), most points in a season (541), and scoring average (24.5).
ECU Hall of Fame coach Earl Smith named Riddick as team captain of the 1959-60 squad.
