Quotes from Coach Steve Logan
"I was proud of our defensive effort. They got after the ball most of the day but didn't get any help from the offense. Our offense got whipped by a very good defense. It was just kind of a slow death; we could never make a play on offense."
On the play of Christshawn Gilliam at running back:
"Art Brown's got a severe groin strain, so Christshawn came over [from defense]. We worked on this all week because Art was not feeling good all week long."
On quarterback Paul Troth and the passing game:
"We didn't protect him. It didn't matter who the quarterback was. We just didn't protect well enough to get anything established."
On what he told the team after the game:
"We've just got to come back, particularly on offense, next week and answer the bell. We can't continue to ask our defense to do what it tried to do today and what it did last week, which was win the game. We've got six days and go play again."
On having the touchdown on the fake field goal called back due to a penalty:
"It took a lot of wind out of our sails. It was a good opening drive, really the only drive we had all day, but had we gotten seven points on the board, it may have changed things a little bit, at least confidence-wise. But those things happen and we didn't overcome it."
