
Pirates Face Coastal Carolina in Pre-Christmas Road Game

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina's men's basketball team will put its 8-1 record on the line Monday night as the Pirates travel to Conway, S.C., to face Coastal Carolina in a 7 p.m. matchup.
It will be the Pirates' final game before a week-long holiday break. ECU will return home to face nationally ranked Marquette on Monday, Dec. 30.
Coastal Carolina is 4-4 overall and will be playing only its third home contest of the 2002-03 season. The Chanticleers are led by 6-3 forward Torrey Butler, who is averaging 17.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. In their latest outing, the Chants lost at East Tennessee State, 93-82, this past Friday night.
ECU is coming off an 86-61 win on the road against Campbell on Saturday night.
