Part Five - After the Game
9:05 p.m. ? The game is over and we lost 83-57. They out played us for 40 minutes. I could tell from warm-ups that their team was going to play to win. We did a few things well, but once again our defense is what seemed to bring us down. We were also outrebounded by about 15. We have to learn to box out on every shot or we will continue to get outrebounded. This loss hurts. There are a lot of disappointed faces in the locker room after the game, but we have no one to blame but ourselves.
10:10 p.m. ? We stopped at Quiznos to get dinner for the ride home. I think everyone's order was messed up ? the perfect ending to an already bad night.
10:21 p.m. ? Back on the bus and headed to Greenville. Started watching The Nutty Professor. I'm not sure if I will be able to sleep. So, I took a Tylenol PM to help me with sleeping on the bus ? where I can't stretch out.
1:36 a.m. ? Arrive in Greenville and I'm trying to fight off my Tylenol PM. We have tomorrow off, but will continue with practice on Sunday at 3 p.m. We should have a good practice and begin preparing for the Campbell game on Tuesday. Losing tonight will hopefully get us fired up and ready to play at home. After Campbell, we will turn around and face Charlotte again next Sunday. This is a big week coming up. I hope we can respond to this loss positively and finish the week out with two wins. Thanks for following us on the road, and make sure to come support us Tuesday night when we take on Campbell at 7 p.m. See you there.
