Football Signing Day Party Planned

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina University head football coach John Thompson will officially unveil his 2003 signing class on Wednesday, Feb. 5, during a special Signing Day Party, scheduled from 4-6 p.m. at the Murphy Center.

The event, held in the Harvey Hall banquet room, is open to the public and free of charge.

Thompson will address the media and formally announce the newest additions to the Pirate family from 4-5 p.m. A tally board with details on the signees, video highlights, and light refreshments will all be part of the festivities.

The entire ECU coaching staff will mingle with ECU fans starting at 5 p.m.

In addition, ECUpirates.com, the official web site of the Pirates, will list complete details of the 2003 signing class at approximately 4 p.m. in conjunction with the Signing Day Party.

The Pirates will open their first-ever spring practice session under Thompson on March 18.
