February 28, 2003 | Women's Basketball
GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina's Lady Pirates will play host to Tulane on Friday night in one of the two final home games of the 2002-03 season. Tulane is currently in third place in the league standings with a conference record of 9-3.
With a 4-8 C-USA record, the Pirates are holding on to the 12th place spot, which currently qualifies them for the league tournament. However, the Pirates will need to have at least one and possibly two more wins this weekend in order to secure their spot in the tournament. Seven teams have earned berths in the tournament thus far and ECU will be looking to make its first-ever trip to the Conference USA Tournament.
Friday's game is set for a 7 p.m. tip-off at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum, and can be heard on WZMB 93.1 FM with Dan Eberhard calling the action and Chris Giles providing the color commentary.
