Special Dates Announced for 2003 Football Schedule

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina University's special events planned in conjuction with 2003 home football games have been announced by athletics department officials this week.
Four of ECU's six home games have been designated for extra activities, beginning with the home opener on Sept. 6 against West Virginia, which has been tabbed for Pirate Club Day. The Pirates' Oct. 25 meeting with Louisville will be part of Family Weekend and Letterwinners/Hall of Fame Weekend. ECU's annual Homecoming Day will feature the Pirates versus South Florida on Nov. 8.
The regular season finale against Southern Miss on Nov. 29 will be Academic Success Day. One additional special date--Band Day--is still to be announced.
Kickoff times for each game will also be announced at a later date.
