Friday Night Baseball Postponed

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Friday night's scheduled baseball game between East Carolina and Memphis has been postponed due to wet field conditions. The two teams will play a day-night doubleheader on Saturday with games scheduled for 12 noon and 7 p.m.
ECU officials originally delayed the start of tonight's game while a field crew attempted to improve the surface. However, the decision to postpone was forced when conditions worsened.
Saturday's forecast appears to be much more conducive to baseball with highs in the lower 70s and sunny skies.
The day-night doubleheader will sandwich ECU football's Spring Game, slated for 3 p.m. at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
