April 02, 2003 | Football
The Pirates and Cougars will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at ECU's Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2 as part of C-USA's television partnership with the national network.
In addition, ECU officials have announced the game time for the Pirates' home opener against West Virginia on Saturday, Sept. 6. That game, which has been designated as part of Pirate Club Day, will kick off at 7 p.m at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Additional kickoff times for East Carolina's home games will be determined at a later date.
The ECU-Houston game is one of at least two national television appearances for the Pirates in 2003. The Pirates will make their official debut under first-year head coach John Thompson on Labor Day, Sept. 1, at Cincinnati (12 noon) in another ESPN telecast.
