Greg Bunn Earns Academic Honors
GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina sophomore right-handed pitcher Greg Bunn has been named to the 2003 Verizon Academic All-District II University Division Baseball Second Team, as voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District III members. Bunn holds a 3.66 grade point average (GPA), while majoring in physics.

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina sophomore right-handed pitcher Greg Bunn has been named to the 2003 Verizon Academic All-District II University Division Baseball Second Team, as voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District III members. Bunn holds a 3.66 grade point average (GPA), while majoring in physics.This is the third consecutive year that the Pirates have had at least one player be recognized as an all-academic performer. Sam Narron was named second team Academic All-America in 2001 and '02, while Cliff Godwin earned the same honor in 1999 and 2001.
Bunn has amassed eight saves in 20 appearances this season and has an earned run average (ERA) of 2.23. He has struck out 59 batters in 36.1 innings pitched this season and currently ranks second on the school's all-time saves list with 15.
