Special Deals Announced for ECU-Houston Football

The Pirates and Cougars will square off in a Conference USA matchup on Tuesday night, Sept. 30, at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The game, which will kickoff at 7:30 p.m., will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
The game has been designated as Appreciation Day for the military, public school employees, public service workers, and ECU faculty and staff. Qualifying members of each of these groups can purchase tickets for $5.
"We want to take this opportunity to show our appreciation for our military personnel, university faculty and staff, teachers, and city and county workers," said Nick Floyd, ECU's interim director of athletics. "We thank them for the support they give us throughout the year. Being on national television is a chance to showcase not only our athletics program but also our university to the entire country, and we are hopeful that all Pirate fans will join us for this special night."
Military Appreciation Day allows all present or past members of the United States Armed Forces to purchase $5 tickets ($2 for children under 12). Tickets may be purchased through the ECU Ticket Office (with valid military ID) or at participating military bases. Participating bases are Cherry Point, Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg, New River, Pope Air Force Base, and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Teacher Appreciation Day entitles all public school employees to purchase tickets for $5.
Public Service Appreciation Day offers $5 tickets to all public service workers including all fire, police, EMS, utility, City of Greenville employees, and Pitt County employees.
Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day presents an opportunity for all ECU faculty and staff to purchase $5 tickets to the game.
The discounted tickets for teachers, public service workers, and ECU faculty and staff are available only through the ECU Ticket Office (252-328-4500 or 1-800-DIAL-ECU).
In addition, a special End Zone Fun-Zone Package is being offered for the ECU-UH game. For $50, fans may purchase a ticket package which includes five tickets for end zone seating plus a $15 voucher that can be used at any of the stadium's concession stands. A $40 package (four tickets, $10 concessions voucher) and $30 package (three tickets, $5 concessions voucher) are also available.
