ECU Baseball to Hold Winter Camp
October 12, 2004 | Baseball
East Carolina head baseball coach Randy Mazey and his staff will conduct a winter college prep baseball camp for players and parents, Dec. 18-19. The camp is open to 9th-12th grade high school students.
The camp is an instructional camp designed to prepare the camper for the opportunity to play baseball at the next level. The quality of instruction will be oriented to the serious baseball player only. Games will not be played. The camp will run from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Saturday, December 18 and 9:00 am to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 19. The cost of the camp is $200.
The camp is also designed for the parents of the serious baseball player who wish to learn the processes involved with preparing a player to play baseball in college. Examples of questions that will be answered are, "how does the NCAA Clearinghouse work?", "which showcases should we attend?", and "how do I evaluate my son's transcripts?". The seminar will be held in the Murphy Center from 6:00 pm on Saturday, December 18th until 9 p. m., or until the last question has been answered.
