MacKenzie Named Conference USA Male Athlete Of The Week

GREENVILLE, N.C. ?? East Carolina senior Kyle MacKenzie has been named Conference USA Male Athlete of the Week league officials announced Monday. It is the first weekly honor received by the Pirates this season and the fourth time that MacKenzie has earned the honor during his career.
This past Saturday he led ECU to its first team victory of the season at the North Carolina Intercollegiate Championships. Mackenzie posted a sixth-place finish covering the 8K course in 25:03.32.
The defending C-USA individual champion will next look to successfully defend his title at the 2004 C-USA Championships in Chicago on Saturday, Oct. 30.
