Pirate Preview Coming To Minges Coliseum Thursday Night
October 19, 2004 | Men's Basketball
"This is a great opportunity for our students and fans to get a look at our basketball team," said head coach Bill Herrion. "The support of our students and fans has grown over the years and we're expecting a great turnout on Thursday night."
The doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with the festivities beginning at 8 o'clock. Admission is free for both students and the general public. Complimentary food and drinks will be provided for the first 1,000 people through the gates.
The night will feature a variety of contests for ECU students. ECU students must enter through gate two to obtain a ticket to be eligible for all contests. Students must have a valid ID in order to be eligible to participate in the contests.
"The Minges Maniacs and the entire student body have created a tremendous homecourt advantage for us here," said Herrion. "Their support and enthusiasm have made this a tough place to play and hopefully this event will get more students involved and give us a greater homecourt advantage in the future."
ECU will hold a brief scrimmage at the beginning of the evening and the players will be introduced near the conclusion of the program.
