
Tulane Defeats Volleyball, 3-0

Mignon Dubenion added 13 kills and Erica Wilson had 11 kills for ECU. Deva Fowler and Lindsey Norman each finished with 11 kills for the Green Wave (13-4, 4-2 C-USA). Norman had a double-double with 16 digs. Sophomore setter Heidi Krug ran the offense with 33 assists and added a double-double with 15 digs.
East Carolina jumped out to a 13-9 lead in game one on a kill from Dubenion. Tulane used a 6-2 run to tie the game, 15-15. Iman Houston sparked an 11-5 run with three kills to put the Green Wave ahead, 26-20. Fowler ended game one with a kill giving Tulane a 30-22 win.
Tulane overcame a 21-12 deficit in game two and hit .333 on its way to a 30-28 win. The Green Wave went on an 18-9 run to end the game.
The Lady Pirates broke a 13-13 tie in game three with an 8-2 run to stake a 21-15 advantage after an attacking error by Norman. Tulane came within 23-19 before ECU took a 25-20 lead on another kill from Dubenion, but Norman and Kenon combined for four kills during a 10-1 run to end the game and the match.
Tulane finished the match with 11 blocks and held a 65-57 advantage in digs. Lindsey Karlin had 13 digs for the Green Wave. Jaime Bevan finished with seven kills for the Lady Pirates.
East Carolina will participate in the "Dig for the Cure" Saturday night during their game with Southern Miss at 7 p.m. in Williams Arena.
