Junior middle blocker Paige Howell and junior outside hitter Erica Wilson each recorded eight kills in a losing effort. Howell hit .500 on the night with only two errors on 12 attack attempts.
Sophomore setter Heidi Krug tallied 21 assists and junior libero Johanna Bertini finished with 17 digs.
The Bearcats, who clinched a first round bye in the C-USA tournament with the victory, hit .275 as a team with 51 kills on 120 attack attempts.
Three Bearcats (20-8, 10-2 C-USA) finished with double-digit kills including Julie DuPont (13), Myanna Hellsten (12) and Maria Pongonis (11).
DuPont and Natalie Dossman finished with 18 and 14 digs respectively. Setter Noel Olson finished with 38 assists.
East Carolina returns home next weekend, hosting DePaul on Friday, Nov. 12 and Marquette on Saturday, Nov. 13.
