
Cross Country Teams Finish Second At Raleigh Invitational

Matt Hanlon was ECU's top finisher, coming home in sixth place followed by Kyle MacKenzie in ninth and Craig Schmidt in 10th position. Hanlon completed the 6,400 meter course in a time of 20:52, 13 seconds ahead of MacKenzie and 29 seconds in front of Schmidt.
Jessica Collins claimed a third place finish in the women's race, completing the 5,000 meter course in a time of 18:42, one second shy of second place. Senior Johanna Allen also grabbed a top 10 finish as she completed the race in a time of 18:53.
The ECU cross country team will return to action on Friday, Oct. 1 at the Great American Championships. The event will be held at the SAS Complex in Cary.
