As a junior, Young was named Richmond Times-Dispatch Player of the Week following 51 points, 18 assists and 12 steals in the three-game North-South Classic, which the Chiefs won.
In her four year career, Young started every game compiling an 86-15 overall record, which included three consecutive Dominion District titles. Young was also a four-time Dominion District first-team selection, three-time All-Richmond Metro first-team selection, two-time All-Richmond Metro Player of the Year, Dominion District All-Academic Team honoree, Richmond Times-Dispatch Player of the Year, as well as being selected to the Richmond Tri-Cities and Virginia East All-Star teams.
