Football Season Ticket Promotion Winners Announced

East Carolina University Athletics conducted two different online ticketing promotions prior to the May 1st Priority Deadline.

The first promotion encouraged current season ticket holders to sign up new season ticket holders online. Four winners were randomly drawn, all who were referenced by new season ticket holders. The contest winners received a catered lunch on Wednesday in the Jones Room of the Murphy Center with head football coach Skip Holtz and the football assistant coaches. The winners were Jeff Adams, Julian Martinez, Jay Tilley and Pete Balent.

"It is very encouraging to see members of the Pirate Family going out and signing up new season ticket holders and it's great to be able to reward them with this experience," said Assistant Athletic Director Craig Curtis.

The second promotion targeted football season ticket online renewals. Five Pirates who renewed their season tickets online before the May 1st priority deadline were randomly selected on May 18th and given the option of five different prizes. The following is a list of the winners and the prizes they received:

Susan Bass of Greenville, NC won $250 in cash.

Jackie Smithwick of Greenville, NC won a Reserved Gold Lot Parking Pass for the 2005 Football Season.

Charlie Owens of Wilmington, NC won a tailgate party for 25 people at the game of his choice.

Gigi and Don Walter of Greenville, NC won a round of golf with Head Coach Skip Holtz and Associate Head Coach Donnie Thompson.

Bill Spence of Garner, NC won the opportunity to participate in the pre-game coin toss for the Pirate's home opener vs. Duke.
