
Brooke Johnson Named Director Of Women's Basketball Operations

GREENVILLE, N.C.--Brooke Johnson has been named Director of Women's Basketball Operations at East Carolina University Head Coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener announced Tuesday, to complete her staff for the upcoming 2005-06 season.
Johnson, who joined the Lady Pirates as Manager in 2004-05, graduated from Peace College in 2003 with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Coaching Education. She completed her four-year basketball career with the Pacers setting the Division III NCAA assist record as well as having her jersey retired.
"We are very excited about Brooke joining our staff in a different capacity," said Baldwin-Tener. "I was very impressed last season with her attitude and work ethic and look forward to her having a greater role with more responsibilities with our team this season."
Originally from Kinston, N.C., she is the daughter of Kelly and Debbie Johnson and has two brothers, Tate (UNC Wilmington, '02) and Patrick, who graduated from East Carolina in 2000. Beginning his second season at Peace College, her father serves as Athletic Director and Head Women's Basketball Coach.
The Pirates begin their fourth season under Baldwin-Tener on Saturday, Nov. 19 when they travel to the A.J. Palumbo Center on the campus of Duquesne University.
