GREENVILLE, N.C. - Fresh off a sweep of Conference USA foe Memphis, the East Carolina baseball team cracked the top 20 in the latest Baseball America poll at No. 19 and ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll at No. 20.
The Pirates, who are 19-6 and winners of their last 13 games, moved up three spots this week in the Baseball America poll, three places in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll and one spot in the Collegiate Baseball Poll (No. 21) and Rivals.com poll (No. 23).
No. 19 East Carolina will host in-state rival UNC Wilmington Wednesday night at 7 p.m. before hitting the road for the first time since Feb. 16, when it travels to Tulane for a three-game C-USA series.
