GREENVILLE, N.C. - In addition to marking the final contest of a two-game homestand which includes a visit by Atlantic Coast Conference member N.C. State, East Carolina's meeting against UAB on Oct. 27 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium has been selected as the Pirates' 2007 Homecoming tilt according to a release of ECU's football game-day designations Wednesday.
East Carolina will open the home schedule Sept. 8 when it lines up against another ACC regional opponent, North Carolina, to highlight Pirate Club Weekend activities.
The Pirates will follow with a pair of Conference USA contests against Southern Miss and UCF on Sept. 15 and Oct. 6, respectively. ECU will observe Family Weekend and High School Band Day festivities on campus when facing the Golden Eagles while conducting Hall of Fame and Letterwinners Weekend, and Military Appreciation Day when the Golden Knights make their visit to eastern North Carolina three weeks later.
After a pair of road games at Memphis and Marshall to open November, East Carolina will close out its regular season schedule by celebrating Academic Success and Senior Day when it welcomes Tulane to Greenville Nov. 24.
Game times will be announced at a later date after all television scheduling needs have been determined.
