The final margin of 28 points was the largest margin of victory ever by ECU in a Conference USA game. The previous largest margin of victory was 19 against Rice earlier this season.
The margin of victory was also the Pirates' biggest margin over a Division I opponent since defeating Radford by 37 in 2003.
It was East Carolina's third Conference USA win of the year, equalling its total number of C-USA wins over the previous two seasons combined.
The Pirates made a season-high 15 3-point field goals. It was the third time in school history that ECU made at least 15 3s. The school record for 3s in a game is 17, set against Northwestern in 2001. ECU also sank 15 3s against Belmont in 2000.
ECU shot over 50 percent from the floor for the second time this year making a season-high 51.7 percent of its attempts.
The Pirates recorded season-highs for assists (25), blocks (8) and 3-point field goal percentage (.625).
It's 82 points were the most in a Conference USA game since scoring 90 in an overtime loss to Charlotte in 2004. It was just the third in ECU's seven-year C-USA membership that it scored 80 points in a game. Other than the aforementioned game versus Charlotte, the only time ECU scored 80 points in a C-USA game was against Louisville in 2002 when it scored 87 points.
ECU's 25-point halftime lead was its largest ever in a C-USA game.
