"[Gabe Blair] really carried us for awhile. He put us on his back. He went and got the basketball, scored inside, attacked the rim and was able to get to the free throw line. I thought he ignited the defensive effort with his rebounding."

"We thought we could wear [Rice] down. We forced them into doing some things that they are not capable of doing either. We've gotten to the point where we can do some things defensively pretty well, we don't do them consistently, but each night we seem to be able to do something to disrupt what the other team is doing. Tonight we let them shoot the ball, but we did force them into turnovers and I thought we did a good job of not letting them have second shots."
On the mood of the team after the win
"The guys are in an upbeat mood after getting a conference road win, but they're also ticked off that they didn't play better because they did play so well in the two games last week. They aren't giddy over the win; they are happy and proud that they won, but I think they are concerned that they didn't play as well as they could play."
