Tickets for the game were a part of each school's 2008 season ticket plan. This will be Virginia Tech's first time playing in Charlotte while East Carolina has played in Charlotte on three occasions. Previously, Clemson played Temple once while North Carolina and NC State, and East Carolina and NC State each played a two-game series at Bank of America Stadium.
