
Pinkney To Appear On ESPN's "First Take"

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina senior quarterback Patrick Pinkney will appear on ESPN's "First Take" Thursday, Sept. 18 during the 11 a.m. hour (EDT).
Pinkney, a Fayetteville, N.C. native, has guided No. 15 ECU to a 3-0 record which includes wins over nationally-ranked Virginia Tech and West Virginia. He has completed 75.9 percent of his passes (63-of-83) for 707 yards and four touchdowns. Pinkney has thrown for 200-plus yards in all three games, which includes a season-high 260 against Tulane in the Conference USA opener last week.
He already is a two-time C-USA Offensive Player-of-the-Week selection (Sept. 1 and 15) and was named the AT&T All-America National Player-of-the-Week (Sept. 11). He also has received an ESPN "Gameday" Final Helmet sticker (Sept. 6), while his 13-yard touchdown pass to Alex Taylor against WVU was one-of-four plays nominated for the Pontiac Game Changing Play-of-the-Week.
ESPN "First Take" is hosted by Jay Crawford and Dana Jacobson, alongside Skip Bayless and other regular contributors from the sports world and appears on ESPN2 following the "Mike and Mike in the Morning" show.
The Pirates will face their third Bowl Championship Series opponent in four games this weekend when it meets N.C. State Saturday in Raleigh. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 noon and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
