"UTEP is a pretty darn good basketball team. They have a lot of different ways to beat you. They have a lot of weapons. You can take some things away, but that opens up other things. Of course they also have two great players in {Stefon} Jackson and {Randy} Culpepper.

"We started pretty good. We missed a couple shots early in the second half but we got things going. We caught up and then missed a few shots. I thought during that stretch we were playing pretty good basketball.

"If you told me we were going to out-rebound them and shoot more free throws than them, I would have thought we had a really good chance to win the basketball game. But I had no idea we would turn it over 19 times. They`re pretty good defensively, they're long and they've got some size which bothers you, but they're not really even a pressing team. They smelled some blood tonight and we didn't handle that well.
