East Carolina has now won back-to-back games for the first time since beating Southern Miss and UCF on February 4 and 7 last season.

The win snapped a six-game road losing streak for the Pirates.

The Pirates won their 23rd consecutive game when scoring 80 or more points.

ECU shot over 50 percent from the floor for a second straight game, marking the first time that has happened since the 2005-06 season.

East Carolina shot over 50 percent in both halves for the first time since the UNC Wilmington game last season.

East Carolina improved to 6-2 all-time against UNC Greensboro, including a 2-0 mark at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Coach Mack McCarthy improved to 5-0 against UNCG.

Sophomore Darrius Morrow scored a career-high 22 points, besting his previous career-high of 21 points against SMU last season.

Junior Brock Young passed Darrell Jenkins to move into third place on the school's all-time assists list with 348. He needs 18 assists to move into sole possession of second place.

Junior Jamar Abrams scored 15 points for the second time in the last three games after scoring a total of 13 points in the first four games.

Junior Jontae Sherrod netted double figures for a fifth straight game, the longest active streak on the team.

All five starters scored double figures for the first time this season.

Freshman walk-on Evan Salzano made his Pirate debut.
