Hey Pirate Fans,
It's been a while since you have been updated on the Lady Pirates. The coaches GOT US!! We did not go camping for a team retreat and "bonding." They tricked all of us GOOD! The weekend ended up really nice as we spent time together relaxing at the Outer Banks. We had a scavenger hunt all around Kitty Hawk, and I do have to congratulate Kelly, Kim, Ashley and Shala for pulling out the `W' on that (even though it was by default, haha!).
After another week of practicing in the morning and afternoon we finally had our first scrimmage against someone other than ourselves and the practice guys. We woke up early Sunday morning to travel. We won and did a lot of really good things, but at the same time there is always more room for improvement. I feel like now we have more confidence and a solid foundation to grow on for the season. This is exciting.
We also had our annual potluck dinner to give fans a "preview" of the team and just say hello to everybody again. Can't wait to see what kind of good food will be there! Hope you continue to have a blessed week!
