
Fall Festival To Celebrate New Basketball Season

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The East Carolina University Athletic Department will host the inaugural Basketball Fall Festival to celebrate the start of the regular season Friday, Nov. 12 outside Minges Coliseum at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
The festival will include a live musical performance by Jake Leg, games, inflatables as well as fair food and beverages with appearances by the ECU cheerleaders and dance team. A student dining hall location will be set up at Gate 1 in lieu of Todd Dining Hall. Meals will be free to students with a meal plan and available to the public for $6.
The ECU men and women's basketball teams will each open the 2010-11 season Friday night with a doubleheader inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum beginning at 5 p.m. The ladies, under the direction of first-year coach Heather Macy, will host American University to tip-off the season before the Jeff Lebo Era officially begins at approximately 7:30 as the Pirates welcome Erskine College.
Complimentary youth tickets (17 and under) and $5 adult tickets to the men's game will be available until halftime of the women's game. Tickets will be full price at the end of the first half.
The Minges Express will provide transportation for students living on campus at the conclusion of the men's game.
