GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina is nearing exhaustion of its 10,000-ticket allotment for the Military Bowl, a battle between the Pirates and Maryland Terrapins set for Dec. 29 at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.
As of 4 p.m. Friday, ECU has surpassed the 8,200-ticket mark, leaving only 1,800 remaining with a little less than three weeks before kickoff.
The Pirates (6-6, 5-3 C-USA) will be making an unprecedented fifth-straight bowl appearance, their seventh since 2000 and 17th overall in program history when they visit the nation's capital. The Terps (8-4, 5-3 ACC) are returning to bowl action after a one-year absence that followed three consecutive trips.
Tickets in the Pirates' section for the Military Bowl are available by calling the ECU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) DIAL-ECU (342-5328) or going online at www.ECUPirates.com. While the Dec. 7 priority deadline passed for Pirate Club members to request their tickets, purchases can still be made by PC members and the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In addition, East Carolina fans unable to attend the game are asked to buy tickets to be donated to local and regional military bases. For more information or to donate, fans can call the athletics ticket office or visit East Carolina's official athletics website.
