STORY LINES
? East Carolina will look to post its third consecutive victory Saturday as it host Chowan inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. The Pirates have won each of their first two games at home this season. They will be looking to open their home schedule with three straight wins for the second consecutive year.
? The Pirates have won nine in-a-row against non-Division I opponents and 25-of-26 since the turn of the millennium. ECU Head Coach Jeff Lebo is 20-0 all-time against current non-Division I members.
? ECU and Chowan have each played Coker College this season. The Pirates posted a 63-50 victory over the Cobras, while the Hawks scored an 80-64 win.
? After shooting 10-of-47 from behind the arc against Campbell and Coker, ECU connected on 7-of-12 3-point field goals (.583) against Appalachian State on Tuesday. In the last 51 minutes of game action, the Pirates are 11-of-19 (.578) from 3-point range.
? ECU continues to experiment with a variety of starting lineups in the backcourt and has used three different guard combinations in the first four games (Paul and Bowden, Gaines and Bowden, Paul and Gaines).
? Junior Miguel Paul, who scored 18 points in the win over Appalachian State Tuesday, is the only player this season to score double figures in all four games. Through games of Nov. 22, he led Conference USA in assists per game (6.0) and assist-to-turnover ratio (4.0).
? Senior Darrius Morrow dominated play inside the paint Tuesday night, scoring 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor and adding a free throw for a total of 15 points. In his last two games, Morrow is 17-of-28 (.607) from the floor, averaging 20 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
? Sophomore Robert Sampson continues to display improvement from his rookie campaign. He currently ranks third on the team in scoring (9.0 ppg) and leads the squad in rebounding (7.8). Sampson averaged 3.3 points and 3.0 rebounds as a freshman.
? Newcomers have provided 53.5 percent of the Pirates' offensive production this season, scoring 168 of 305 points.
? East Carolina has nearly as many steals (44) as its opponents have assists (45) this season.
? The Pirates have held three opponents under 30 points in the first half this season, including two under 20.

? East Carolina will travel to Norfolk, Va. Tuesday to face longtime rival Old Dominion at the Ted Constant Convocation Center at 7 p.m.
