Women's Hoops Announces Alumni Weekend Plans

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's basketball team will welcome back its alumni to Greenville and Minges Coliseum Sunday, Jan. 8.
Before the Pirates take on Conference USA rival UAB at 2 p.m., the former letterwinners will square off in a game at 11 a.m. Also taking place during the weekend is a dinner at the Murphy Center scheduled for the conclusion of Saturday's men's contest versus UCF.
Alumni scheduled to attend the event are Kim Samuels, Tomekia Blackmon, Irish Hamilton, Caren Truske, Danielle Melvin-Koonce, Toina Coley, Delphine Mabry, Rosie Thompson, Janet Bailey, Tonya Hargrove, Jasmine Young, Beth Janes-Turner, Kim Dupree, Christal Avery-Short, Nicole Brown-Collier and Sam Jones.
A halftime ceremony will honor all alumni in attendance as well as the 1981-82 squad which earned the program's first bid to the NCAA Tournament.
