Player of the Game
Jamar Abrams scored a season-high 25 points , shooting 8-of-11 from the field, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Abrams' second 3-pointer of the first half gave ECU a 29-27 halftime lead. After Darrius Morrow scored the first five points, Abrams scored six straight to give the Pirates an 11-3 lead beginning with a dunk. He scored the first four points of the second half from the free throw line and was a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc after intermission.
Turning Point of the Game
After the Miners were assessed four technical fouls in the first 1:12 of the second half, they picked up their seventh team foul with 18:14 left in the game ensuring that ECU would go to the free throw line on every non-player control foul the remainder of the game.
Stat of the Game
East Carolina made 35-of-45 free throws and 30-of-37 in the second half. The Pirates made 8-of-10 foul shots in the final 1:23. Jonate Sherrod went 15-of-17 at the charity stripe for the second time this season. He also made 15-of-17 free throws against USC Upstate.

• ECU recorded its sixth Conference USA win of the season, marking the first time that the Pirates have won six C-USA games since joining the league in 2001-02.
• The Pirates have won 14 games this season, their most since going 14-14 during the 2000-01 campaign.
• East Carolina won its 10th home game of the season, marking the 14th time it has won at least 10 games at Minges Coliseum.
