
FSN To Televise ECU-Memphis Game

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- FSN officials confirmed Monday the Conference USA men's basketball game between East Carolina and Memphis on Wednesday, March 2, will be televised on Fox Sports Carolinas as well as Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Tennessee. Game time remains slated for 7 p.m. inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.
Wednesday night's game will be the final home game for ECU seniors Jamar Abrams, Jontae Sherrod, Chad Wynn and Brock Young. The Pirates have won back-to-back games after enduring a three-game losing streak to improve to 7-7 in C-USA. ECU is currently in eighth-place in the league and only one game out of sixth-place. Memphis has lost two if its last three games and has fallen into a four-way tied for second-place at 9-5, one game behind leader UAB.
The FOX Sports regional networks serving the Southeast - FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Carolinas, FOX Sports Tennessee and SportSouth - collectively reach more than 12.9 million cable and satellite households in seven states across the Southeast. They are the television home of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Thrashers, Carolina Hurricanes, Charlotte Bobcats, Memphis Grizzlies and Nashville Predators.
Conference USA recently reached a new multi-year agreement for national television rights with Fox Sports Media Group beginning with the 2011 football season through the 2015-16 athletic year. According to terms of the agreement, FSN will showcase a minimum of 20 regular-season football games per season, a minimum of 10 regular-season men's and five women's basketball games, and a variety of Olympic sports events.
