GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina's Conference USA opener Saturday against UAB is officially sold out according to an announcement from the ECU Athletic Ticket Office. All available general public tickets for the Blazers' visit to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium were purchased as of Thursday afternoon.
It is the second sellout East Carolina has announced this week as the ticket supply for the North Carolina clash Oct. 1 was exhausted Tuesday afternoon.
The UAB contest is the third C-USA sellout for the Pirates inside 50,000-set Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium following the Tulsa and Marshall games in 2010. All four home regular season league tilts in 2009 were sold out with pre-expansion crowds of over 43,000, while East Carolina had two C-USA capacity crowds in 2008 and one during the 2007 campaign.
Tickets, which are priced at $40 for adults and $25 for youth age 3-12, are still available for Tulane (Oct. 29/Homecoming), Southern Miss (Nov. 5/Military Appreciation Weekend) and UCF (Nov. 19/Senior Day) and can be purchased at the ECU Ticket Office or on-line at www.ECUPirates.com.
