
Macy Readies For Presentation At Nike Basketball Championship Clinic

ORLANDO, Fla. - East Carolina women's basketball head coach Heather Macy will serve as a featured presenter at the Nike Basketball Championship Clinic at the Venue at UCF. The event is scheduled for Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
Macy will lead a discussion Sept. 30 about her "Transition Inter-State Offense" and guide on-court demonstrations using players.
Other featured speakers for the Orlando clinic include head coaches Tom Izzo (Michigan State University), Bob Huggins (West Virginia University), Jay Wright (villanova University), Bruce Webber (University of Illinois), Bobby Cremins (College of Charleston) and Chris Mooney (Richmond).
Macy led ECU to its third-straight winning season in 2010-11, guiding the Pirates to a 16-15 overall record and a 9-7 ledger in Conference USA action. East Carolina won nine of its last 12 contests to end the year, including a 65-58 victory in Greenville over C-USA Tournament champion and NCAA Tournament participant UCF.
Macy is a regular presenter at Nike Basketball Championship Clinics, as she has spoken at events in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Cleveland, Ohio and Wisconsin Dells, Wisc.
The head coach officially begins her second year with East Carolina on Oct. 2 when practice starts for the Pirates.
