Eibner Named C-USA Golfer-Of-The-Week

IRVING, Texas - East Carolina sophomore Ryan Eibner has been named Conference USA Men's Golfer-of-the-Week after tying for second place and finishing ahead of 10 nationally ranked golfers at the General Hackler Championships in Georgetown, S.C.
Eibner earned a three-way tie for second place at the 2012 General Hackler Championships as he carded a 2-over 215 (72-73-70), just three strokes behind the event medalist. He finished ahead of three players ranked in the top-35 and 10 nationally ranked golfers.
The finish was the best of his career as he helped the Pirates to runner-up honors as a team, two strokes behind No. 14 North Florida and ahead of No. 9 Arkansas, No. 19 New Mexico, No. 24 Virginia and No. 40 Tennessee.
Eibner, who was honored with the award for the first time in his career, is the third ECU player to receive the weekly accolade this season. Seniors Adam Stephenson and Harold Varner were also recognized with the weekly award during the fall.
