
Macy to Present at Nike Championship Basketball Clinic this Spring

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina women's basketball head coach Heather Macy will head to Myrtle Beach, S.C., as one of 10 current and former head coaches to speak and present at the 2014 Nike Basketball Clinic from April 11-13. The event will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
Macy is no stranger to speaking at the Nike Basketball Championship Clinic as she has spoken at events held in Cleveland, Ohio, Wisconsin Dells, Wis., as well as the prestigious Las Vegas Clinic.
This spring, Macy will be the only female speaker at an event that features Kansas State head coach Bruce Webber, Villanova head coach Jay Wright, Iowa head coach Fran McCaffrey, as well as former NBA and NCAA Coach Mike Dunlap. Other featured speakers include head coaches Keith Dambrot (Akron), Rick Byrd (Belmont), Alan Major (Charlotte), Joe Dooley (Florida Gulf Coast), and Andy Toole (Robert Morris).
Macy is currently in her fourth season with East Carolina and she has guided the Pirates to a 15-2 overall record and a 3-1 ledger in Conference USA action to rank second in league standings.
East Carolina's next game will be held on Wednesday, January 22, at Williams Arena inside Minges Coliseum when the Pirates host Rice in a C-USA contest at 7 p.m.
