Setting The Scene
? East Carolina will make its first visit to UNCW since 2008 on Saturday as it takes on the Seahawks at 7 p.m. at Trask Coliseum. The Pirates posted a 99-85 win over UNCW in their last trip to Trask Coliseum on Dec. 3, 2008.
? East Carolina snapped a two-game losing streak with a 70-58 win over James Madison this past Saturday. A win over UNCW would give the Pirates consecutive wins for the first time this season. ECU alternated wins and losses for the first eight games.
? The Pirates are looking to snap a seven-game road losing streak. East Carolina's last "true road" win came at UAB last season on Feb. 1, 2013 (74-67).
? Saturday's game is the Pirates' final road of the 2014 calendar year. ECU will play its next three games at home and all before Jan. 1. Florida A&M will serve as the Pirates' opponent Monday night with UNCG visiting on Dec. 28 and Tulane on Dec. 31.
